We use Zap-a-Cap or commonly known as (CA) glue on RC airplanes and there is nothing stronger for it's weight. Add the kicker or micro ballons and you will never get the joint loose. You will find that the epoxy will not soak into the areas where you put the CA. This might be a problem down the road. You will also see coloration differences if you don't fillet over these areas. I would stick with the syringe and tack weld with epoxy fillets to be safe.
