I think he's saying have the hull and deck as raw wood then glassing them as one unit. You can pre-glass the underside of the deck before bending it. I've done it on three CLC kayaks. I would still glass the hull before the deck because of the care required to keep the soft hull from getting scored during the deck installation process,,ie. benging, bumping, hammering, planing, sanding etc.
