Rubrails, or No Rubrails?
Posted by David K. on Mar 31, 2006
I'm about to order my first kayak kit: likely the Shearwater 17. Chris Kulczycki writes that rubrails protect the hull-to-deck joint, especially during tranport. Worth it, or just more excess weight? If I install rubrails, what is the right placement, over or under the deck glass?
Any advice appreciated. David K.
