6 oz or 9 oz for fillets

O.K. this is probably a stupid question but here goes. (my building booklet and plans are not with me and it would mean a trip to where I'm building the boat) I am building a Ches. 18 and I yesterday layed up the fillets and taped them. I used 6 oz tape (the fillets are pretty large but that's another story and I glassed the cockpit with 6 oz cloth). I just read the material list from the Can. supplier and they ship the 18 with 9 oz tape. Is the 6 oz stong enough? If not should I run another layer of tape over the one's already down? (I hope not) Sorry for being so needy and thanks for the help. Ted
