Deck Beam Installation

I'm about to install the deckbeams on my Ch16. The manual advises to drill through the sheer clamp and screw/epoxy the deckbeam in place. What will cover the screw head on the outside o the hull? Or will they be visible on the finished boat? Any other options besides screwing them in?
