Single plastic kayaks work well. Portaging is more difulcult though as no one is pushing from behind. It is 50-50 that you will hit a rock but there are quite a few rocks just under the water. You may also have a problem portaging a long double through the trails. We were the only two in kayaks that I saw but it was good to sleep in and then catch the canoers by lunch and then find the best campsites. Bring rain gear for June weather but I am sure you know that living in BC. Good luck.
