Solid tinned is covered with a thin layer of solder, which is tin and lead. If it was me, I'd plan on using a method (either tabbing or pulling) that removed the stitches once I was done with them. This is to avoid any potential problems with streaking and corrosion.
But for working as stitches, it should be just fine. And if you cover everything with a good layer of epoxy, you probably won't ever see the corrosion and streaking. I'm just the careful (paranoid, obsessive compulsive, etc.) type.
