not an expert but an enthusiast,,I'd use wheat flour long before I'd use talc. Using fillers used for their sanding qualities as structual elements makes as much sense as making a molded kayak entirely out of fillet goop.

Use masking tape to define 1/2" wide fillets long before I'd make 1" wide fillets out of light weight filler. I'd make triangular wood blocks in the ends with an oz of epoxy long before I'd put in 6oz of goop in either end. etc, etc. The option of using light weight fillers for a structural element like fillets or endpours is a misguided attempt to reduce weight. If you reduce total epoxy use you'll be a ahead of the game.
