We use the fine wire to end up with smaller less visible holes. Many will disappear by applying water to swell the wood around the hole. Many will come back into view as epoxy is applied, but we like trying.

We pull all wires before the fillets so can�t comment on sanding pad effects. As with copper, the stainless wire doesn�t rust or leave a smudge in the hole like steel wire does.
