If I remember correctly, I made coaming filets for my MC 16.5 with the wood flour and shot them in with a big fat syringe...smoothing them with a squeegee or gloved pinky. They are not unsightly...hard to really notice in fact. Am I wrong in thing that the white goup made with cabosil will be more noticable around the coaming. As for the rub rails...you dont even have to see a filet there, just stick em down. I a sure the white silica goup will stand out more in your finish if it is showing.
