Use foam bruses,,get a box for a discount price, bristle brushes lose about a dozen bristles onto sticky epoxy.
A ROS with dust catcher or better yet attached to a shop vac via a long hose will generate a LOT less dust than hand sanding. Hand sanding will send all that dust all around you. A ROS will at least catch most of it and attached to a shop vac will pull in what drifts away,,the discs also last a little longer.
