Abrasive Pad vs Sanding

Posted by Parke on Dec 27, 2005

According to instructions the coats of finish varnish should be wet sanded between coats. This was working fine until it got cold. I can not wet sand in my shed because of all the water and the wood floor (unless my wet sanding technique is all wrong). I thought I had heard 3M Scotch-brite type pads mentioned as an alternative. Is it ok to use these pads between varnish coats instead of wet sanding? And if it is ok, I use the Norton Bear-Tex type. Should I use very fine or micro fine?
