Did you say where a backpack while paddling? That would really throw your center of gravity off and make paddling such a boat...well, not fun. Youn want your center of gravity as close to the water as you can get it, especially in a skinny boat like the PAX or any good touring kayak for that matter. Think about doing a roll in a backpack of any size...I am surprised nobody commented on this yet!!
