2nd the 1 inch straps. I also like to have a strap just infront og the comming that angles back to something solid. That way if I hit the brake really hard the yak can not slide forward. I have had a yak shift 6 inches or so when I did not put the safety on for a short trip and then had to stop suddenly. I guess I feel its worth the extra effort to not have to worry.
Pretty boat, when do you start on its mate? Ed, thinking about #3, sheerwater hybrid on a 16 lt hull with self designed strip deck.
