Fixing sanding mistakes

Help! I made the rookie error of sanding through the okume ply on the interior side of the boat in several places. When placing a clear epoxy coat over them they became even more obvious. Is there some way to disguise these mistakes, such as covering them with a mix of epoxy and woodfiller/microballon mix? Thanks Gerry Falco
