Steaming Out a Dent
Posted by Mac on Nov 18, 2005
Hi Crew!
Haven't asked a silly in a while, and things are way too quiet.
I've got some untreated 4mm okoume with a rather significant ding in it. The veneer isn't broken, and the dent's about 1.5 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide.
How about raising it?
I thought about a damp towel and a hot steam iron (when Marjolaine's out of the house, of course). Then I worried that this might cause de-lamination.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Mac
