Re: mill creek sailrig

Ben, I'm surprised at the lack of response so will offer my 2 cents worth. I have no experience with the Mill Creek but have seen many expedition rigged canoes and kayaks with various sail riggs. To me the Mill Creek 16.5 is ideal because it has enough beam to add form stability with the lack of stabilizing appendages and the associated parasitic drag. I would keep the rig basic and simple, a balanced lug with good reefing capability, I think a Marconi style rig carries the center of effort too high and you don't need a jib and all the hastles that go with it.
