I'll third that! No need for holes through the hull. If you have scrap okoume lying around, you can make the necessary pads yourself. You'll lose a little bit of foot room (1/2"?)but it hasn't bothered me and I have Sasquatch feet in the equivalent of 16LT and 17LT kayaks.
