another beam would make for more of a curve but whether that's "proper" or not is another thing. Aesthetically having the camber increase to the ends like a cone looks better since the smaller arc looks flatter and flatter whether it is or not. The problem is that trying to make one piece of deck plywood bend on a sheerline that curves up eventually forces the plywood to fold,,which gives you the kind of deck you see on the Arctic Hawk. You can keep the sheerline straighter to retain a curved deck more easily,,but that's like making the hull conform to the deck instead of a hull conforming to a desired handling characteristics.
