I'll disagree that you can't see them. You can't see them from far away, but people routinely come up to my boat (only been out a few times) and inspect it. One of the first questions is "what are these little marks" when they see the wire holes. that said, it doesn't really make any aesthetic difference because they aren't ugly and the rest of the boat draws way more attention unless someone is really inspecting the boat.
