Chesapeake LT 17 is born!

Hi all, Well that was one of the most rewarding projects I have ever done. About two months of evenings and weekends and I have a beautiful wood epoxy kayak. I launched it into Lake Champlain just north of Burlington Vermont. Another CLC boat owner ( Pax 18 ) and I paddled out of the Winnooski River onto the fairly wind and wavy lake. I have been a sailor for many years but never have I felt as connected with the water as I do with this boat. Very seaworthy these are. The waves were about 3-4 feet and they were comming beam on. I never once felt that the boat was in a dangerous condition. I even got to surf a little. Great boats. Great well thoughtout kit.
