This is the Hudson River. Near Saugerties, about 100 miles north of New York City.

One of the nice things here is the tide. The current isn't always flowing in the same direction and we usually start by going against the current.

The wind blowing against the current can make for some interesting waves to play in. The large barges heading to/from Albany don't make as much of a wake as I thought they would.
