Mike, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Use enough epoxy to hold the deck but not that much that it will drip. If you are using nails or screws to hold it in place it will be very strong. Remember you are still going to glass the deck and that will seal it and reinforce it. Check my site I also built a WR180.
