Have you considered looking for an upgrade for yourself, e.g., Ches 17, and "handing down" the Mill Creek 13? Take a serious look at who would be doing what kind of paddling and whether either of them would be happy in the MC 13.

My daughter loves my Mill Creek, and I would (semi-selfishly) build the next kayak for myself, since I do most of the paddling.
