Sounds good to me. I'm also building an MC 16.5 but the weight of the paddler is of more concern to me than the weight of the boat. I weigh in at 350 but believe it or not am in fairly good shape. I'm currently losing weight, and being able to get in the kayak is my incentive. I know the MC 16.5 is rated for 400lbs. but does anyone know if this must be spread througout the entire boat? Do you think the hull would hold under a 350 lb. paddler if it were built well. Thanks.
