after you have finished this round of sanding, i would put one more layer of epoxy....but applied with a squeegee (a plastic spreader). this does a great jo of filling the little shallows and putting only the thinest of material on the already high areas. its the easiest way to get to a great finish.
after the last round of expoxy with a spreader...it should only take a quick round of 180/200 grit on the Random Orbital Sander (ROS) and then you should be ready to go. But be careful on the edges with the sander not to sand through.
