I missed your bit about floating a needle a few days back...has to do with the oxygen atom's greater electronegativity (attration for electrons) which leaves the hydrogen atoms in the water molecule looking like bare naked protons. Thus, water molecules stick to each other and because they have opposite poles...so called hydrogen bonding...or something like that. It also helps to have clean gentle hands and a little patients which you obviously have if you hve read this far.
