Drain plug - pram bilge?

Has anyone ever installed a bronze drain plug into the bilge boat to make it easier to drain out the water. This eastport pram will ride on stanchions as a tender to a sailboat. having a drain plug will let rain water drain out instead of store up inside the dinghy . Considerations are: if the the bilge area flexes under load, the bilge drain plug may leak. large cedar lapstrake boats like Rangely 15's sometimes have such drains.
