here's the easiest thing to do,,leave the ends floppy,,resin and squeegee up to the last couple feet at the ends. Remove wet gloves. Lift up the loose ends and cut both sides of the cloth 1 1/2" from the edge of the kayak. Put new gloves on and finish glassing wrapping one layer of glass over the other. There will be a wispy cluster of threads sticking up like a cowlick where the cut ends about at the middle of the keel where the ends lift up. As the epoxy cures you can press down the loose ends.
