WARNING, newbie rigging q

HELP!

I'm getting ready to finish the mast & spars for my eastport pram and still do not clearly understand how to rig it correctly. I apologize for being a pain.

Does nothing actually hold the mast in the boat? Could not a strong puff of wind just pull the mast and all up up and away?

(head scratching)
