slow drying varnish
Posted by Jim H on Aug 13, 2005
I just put my first coat of varnish on and it looks great with no dust, bugs, etc. Myproblem is that it is not drying. After 24 hours it is still slighly tacky. I is fairly humid here and after reading some posts they say to stay away from humid days. How much does this affect dry time? The boat is in my garage with dehumidifier running. Outside humidity is around 70%. I know that it probably is not the bes time to varnish, but I am a little constrained for time.
