Don't use cab-o-sil. It's unnecessary for strength there, wood flour works as well for thickening and the color is a better match.

In fact, I'm not really sure why CLC specifies cab-o-sil for the glue mix. I've only ever used woodflour on my boats and they have yet to fall apart. Wood flour works just fine for kayaks, dinghies, canoes and other small boats. Larger and/or high-powered boats may need cab-o-sil, but these don't.
