For those of you who have broadband, and a PC less than 3-4 years old, take a look at Google Earth. It's only been out a couple of weeks and I'm addicted.

Basically its a collection of satellite photos of the Earth, stitched together onto a 3D sphere, creating a virutal globe, that you can zoom in and identify individual cars, houses, streets, etc (depends on the quality of the photo of the particular area). The more you explore the software, the more uses you find.

The reason I mention this in this forum, is that, amongst many other things, I've been using it to review previous trips and plan future trips. Measuring distances is a breaze.

I could ramble on and on about this, so I will stop now.
