The wood flour would have made it thicker and lighter, but you'll be fine. Using silica instead will make strong bonds and it won't add more than a pound or two (and that's very generous) to the boat, versus using wood flour. For most people it's not that significant a difference in weight and certainly not hugely important in the grand scheme of things. If you start to get short on silica, you can always use the wood flour, it will be plenty strong enough to glue any pieces together that you need.
