OK, I'll ask. Mulepilot is either a very neat name or a cool nickname? Too bad the Death Valley Borax days are over - you'd have been a shoe-in!

Remember, the bench doesn't have to be longer than your boat - 16 feet (multiple of 8) will be just fine. The bench is only used for the very first steps, then disassembled in favor of slings. (Look through CLC's Shop Tips for a plan).
