Suitable workbench

I received my CH 17LT kit today, well two of the three boxes - the third containing the wood is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I am close to getting going on this project.

My ? concers a suitable workbench. I was going to build a long workbench made of 2x4 sides and cross pieces, topped with 3/4" plywood. Would this be wuitable and how long should I make it?

Thanks in advance, I'm just trying to see what has worked well for others.
