How much flex and impacts are there on the inside of a cockpit? Is there enough flex in there to make it a real problem? People mention resistance to impacts as well, just how brittle is it? Presumably, once soaked in epoxy it could stand up to wetsuit boots and the pressures of my heels digging in as I head rapidly towards a beach?

I'm beginning the stitch stage of my boat tommorrow - getting really exciting now, there's an explosion of ideas of what to do - mostly inspired from things other people have done, and thankfully shared here!
