Carbon Fibre in the UK?
Posted by Rich on Jun 27, 2005
Hello all...
I'm building a North Bay and saw some pictures of a boat with it's cockpit interior that was almost black. It looked fantastic, and was apparently done using carbon fibre. I'd quite like to try that as I build up the hull, and replace the fibreglass mat in the cockpit area with carbon fibre, but it'll be all down to cost I guess.
Do pigments work with the epoxy very well? Cheaper alternative... I think the carbon fibre looks great, but it's just the really dark interior of the cockpit I like most I think.
I've had a quick scout round the web to find a UK supplier of Carbon Fibre but with no great success, anyone know where it's sold?
Cheers
Rich
