Re: # of epoxy coats

At a recent sailboat show one of the tech. editors of a national DIY mag. said 8 to 10 coats of varnish is a good base. This for "bright work" that is outside 24/7 on the water. For a kayak or canoe that is stored INSIDE it is probably over-kill, outside I'd lean toward the extra coats. RogerJ
