I got to try one under sail last month, while mine is 3/4 built. I too have a helper about your daughter's age, and we all had a good time. It was kind of a bear to get it to tack when I wanted it to, though. After awhile it gets painful (for me with mild arthritis) to hold the sheet all the time, as it's not cleated off. Also, there wasn't much room to swing the tiller without having it scrape my back. I decided to not order the sailing kit after that experience. I think it'll make a good tender for a yacht, but I'd go with the new improved Passagemaker Pram if I were to do it again.
