Having recently glassed my hull as a first timer the experience of smoothing out the glass cloth on the dry wood was amazingly easy. With a bit of gentle hand work it took to the shape of the hull like it was vacuum sealed. And applying the epoxy with a squeegee was slick as can be.
The thought of trying to finesse that full sheet of fiberglass onto a wet and sticky hull and hope for a smooth result is night mare-ish.
