I agree with you.

Now you'll want to plug the holes - talk to Matt Croce - or go back in the older posts to see his use of round tooth picks. One contributer (sorry can't recall his name) even found beechwood (I think) toothpicks, which more closely match okoume in colour.

So, join the club! There are a bunch of us maniacs taking every little aspect of boat building to the limits - AND LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
