Re: Thule J cradles

Mike, FYI I'm throwing together a set of J-cradles right now to fit on my System One utility rack. The concept would work just as well on a Trac - Rack, since they both use T-slots to mount accessories. Basically, I'm using a base made out of scrap 2"by stock, with scrap 3/4" ply for the upright sections. I'm recessing the bolt holes into the bottom so that I can bolt it to the rack with 5/16" carriage bolts. The whole cradle will be covered in scrap 6oz. glass and left over epoxy. Total price <$2.00 in bolts, nuts & washers. I'll post pics as soon as I'm done. No, they won't be as pretty as Ross Leidy's J-cradles, but they should work just fine.
