the easiest way to get it on or off is the best way to carry it,,don't forget a bow/stern tie down for freeway speeds. I've found that stackers and mounting on the sides works best. Aerodynamic issues are kind of moot at this point. All those fancy curved kayak roof racks look good but don't work any better than stackers for plywood kayaks.
