And...he's off

So, last weekend seemed like a good time to get started with my MC 13 project...flurries in April, lack of other things to do, etc. I have rough-cut the sheets into blanks, which eventually will be scarfed and made into panels. My question is at some point, these panels will be stitched; do I need to fill that gap I imagine will be there? My thinking is that the panels are stitched together so that the inside curves are flush, thereby leaving a small gap, valley, etc on the outside (where the wires are twisted together.
And, if I can ever figure out the Comcast internet page thing, I'll open the shop up to you guys...
