As you've defined performance in terms of speed,,that assumes you have the motor,,I'd suggest the WR18. A sealine rudder off the stern would finish the picture where 110% forward stroke effort gives you a bit less for steering. You definately want fixed footpegs. Regarding wave handling, since you are looking for a sea kayak, you might want to get first hand feedback on both boats in waves similar to what you are paddling to see where one exceeds the other in "performance".
