I have photos somewhere of two installations: One had a tricky rudder-like mount on the stern, operated by footpedals. A customized mount had to be fabricated, which not only turned for steering but also kicked up if you hit something. The kit builder worked in a machine shop, if memory serves.
There was another one that used a side-slung motor mount on the aft deck. Really the simplest solution; just a plank with a curved adaptor for the aft deck radius, and a block of wood to clamp the motor to.
Clearly a rig suitable only for calm water, but both iterations were said to run well.
