Re: Cold-Shock Response?

I keep seeing this fatality. Kayaker upside down, dead without exiting the boat. Perhaps this is a result of Cold-Shock Response, a near involuntary gasp of water due to cold water shock. It would be useful to know if you have a susceptibility to this problem before you go boating in cold water.
