preparing for varnish
Posted by ray on Apr 17, 2005
Hi folks
just want to check that i'm on the right track.
I have rolled 1 coat of west sytem epoxy onto the deck, without glass (yeah i know the pitfalls). preperation consisted of sanding with 300.
Having spent a small fortune on varnish, I want to get it right. I am using a two pack, made by international called perfection.
I intend to wait a week until the epoxy has totally cured, then sand finely (380). Next wash the deck with a washing solution produced by international. After drying i will then add two thin coats of varnish.
any tips for two pack?
does this sound right?
