Philip,

I can guarantee that the Skerry is a better sailing experience than lashing 50 gallon drums together (but then, I've never tried the later so maybe I'm not qualified to make such a claim).

There are quite a few of us Skerry builders out there. Many of us tend to congregate at the Skerry Builders Forum (see link below).
